State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP)

Overview

The Cybersecurity Planning Committee is accepting participation interest and request forms for cybersecurity services to be included in prospective SLCGP projects. If an associated project is approved by the Committee, the services will be offered free of charge using SLCGP funding and will cover services for State Fiscal Year 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027). All projects and services are subject to available funding on a first-come, first-served basis, so your prompt response to this survey is important.

Participation Requirements

If your organization wants to receive any of the services identified below, and a project to provide those services using SLCGP funding is approved by the Committee, your organization must submit a signed consent form within 60 days of notice of participation approval.

Services

Vulnerability Management and Assessment Services (VMAAS)

Internal IT network scans that are done monthly to identify vulnerabilities within the IT network of your organization. The VMAAS services include access to and training through a web-based platform designed to support mitigation efforts, help manage vulnerabilities, and track remediation efforts.

Security Awareness Training

This training will educate IT system users on emerging threats, human factor vulnerabilities, phishing prevention, and secure practices, thereby reducing human factor vulnerabilities and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness.

Cybersecurity Risk Assessment

Access to a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform to complete a Cybersecurity Risk Assessment benchmarked to the security standards applicable to your organization. Participants will have continued access to the GRC platform to update their data regarding risks, vulnerabilities, assets and controls.

Cybersecurity Policy Implementation Support

This project will assist organizations adopt and operationalize fully developed cybersecurity policy templates that are compliant with NIST Frameworks. This project will provide guidance, resources, and hands-on support for customization, adoption, and integration into processes.
